How Hinduism was started... is explicitly detailed in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism! As per Bhagavad Gita... the doctrine given to mankind by Lord Krishna, Hinduism came into being moment Vedas (Hinduism revelations) were invoked by various sages and saints of different era! Vedas (Hinduism revelations) were the first words of God made available to mankind.

Vedas... the spoken word carried through many millenniums through word of mouth as written word (termed Lipi in Hinduism) had not yet evolved! After Vedas came Upanishads (independent treatises) and sacred doctrine of Bhagavad Gita! Hinduism primarily is mixture... conglomeration of various faiths and beliefs in vogue of those times!

Hinduism is never termed a religion... it is always considered as... a way of life! No sooner human life evolved on mother earth... with passage of time human brain activated self! Initially human beings indulged in hit and trial method. Finally logistics took root! It is through path of logistics human beings finally realized their inherent potential... the power of their brain!

Using power of discrimination at its best... human beings slowly realized the value of jnana (wisdom) that differentiated human beings from animals! As human beings invoked more and more wisdom by grace of God Almighty... a set pattern of thoughts came into being! These thoughts finally found their way into various religious scriptures in vogue today!

The collective wisdom... the power of Vedas... Upanishads... Bhagavad Gita... Puranas, Itihasas, Agamas and Darshanas were finally termed Hinduism... the oldest of all religions existing on mother earth! Hinduism does not have a single founder. Founders of Hinduism were sages and saints of different era that collectively invoked wisdom contained in scriptures of Hinduism!

The word Hinduism was coined by Muslim invaders that invaded India (erstwhile Bharatvarsha) from West! For crossing into India these Muslim invaders crossed river Indus. As Muslims pronounced H for I... they started calling people living east of river Indus as Hindus and the religion that came into being as Hinduism!

For a serious seeker of spirituality how Hinduism was started is not difficult to infer... but for travellers of religious path... Who is Founder of Hinduism... is still a mystery! Hinduism religion is not a proprietary of single Sage or Saint! It collectively belongs to all people living in India. Before India gained independence... it was a collective power of above 600 princely states.

The entire region comprising above 600 princely states was termed Bharatvarsha (now India)! Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel... then home minister of India combined the 600 princely states to form Indian republic... the Indian subcontinent! In China... power flows from barrel of a gun (the scavengers of society)... in India power flows from Bhagavad Gita and various Upanishads!

None world over can deny efficacy of Hinduism religion! Prior to terming it Hinduism religion... it was called Sanatana Dharma... a Dharma that exists from times immemorial! Dharma (your right to do what is just and right... and not what was destined) is that inherent ingredient of cosmic system that separated human beings from animals!

It is Dharma that makes us exercise our free will... the power of discrimination! Before existence of any religion on mother earth, existed Dharma (power of righteousness)! Ever since the inception of mankind... life was inherently governed by Dharma! In absence of Dharma... life carried no meaning in cosmic system... everything would simply decay and die!

The primary rules of ethics and morality are directly governed by principles of Dharma (righteousness)!

For all practical purposes... if one asked when did Hinduism begin... the answer would be from times immemorial... since the advent of mankind on mother earth! All essentials of Hinduism are contained in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism... the doctrine given to mankind by Lord Krishna... an avatar of his era (God manifest in human form)!

Bhagavad Gita Hinduism truly forms summum bonum of spirituality... epitome of spiritual pursuit! It is assimilating teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita human beings finally reached stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana). In present times enlightenment can only be gained via path of Hinduism... the sacred Bhagavad Gita!

God Almighty can never be reached via path of religion... path of rituals! Travelling spiritual path was an absolute necessity for reaching God in present life time. Following teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita was a sure shot method of reaching God in present life!
