Spiritual awakening is the stage when human beings gained enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) forever! Reaching stage of enlightenment by human beings announced end of cosmic journey for a soul atman. In Hinduism a soul is termed atman. For an enlightened human being there is nothing more to achieve in the physical manifest world. An enlightened one always desires taking salvation (moksha) at the earliest. One really wants to go home permanently forever... the abode of God Almighty... kingdom of God (termed Vaikuntha in Hinduism)... a point of no return! One finally reached 8.4 millionth manifestation... last in cosmic life cycle!

For an enlightened one spiritual awakening symptoms are many. The moment one gained enlightenment... the entire wisdom contained in cosmos becomes available on our tips! We may have never read any scripture in our lifetime but one can make an extempore discourse on any scripture not for days, months... but for years! It is as if one had dictated contents of all sacred scriptures in one of previous manifestations! An enlightened one finally comes face-to-face with God Almighty on one-to-one basis! One was in permanent communion with God Almighty all the time. Enlightenment was a permanent stage of achievement that could never be reversed!

Of the most predominant spiritual awakening symptoms... brain of an enlightened one became hundred percent active! Normal human beings used their brain one percent... 99% always lying dormant... unused! Albert Einstein the famous physicist was the only scientist in world who used his brain 4%! Another spiritual awakening sign was full awakening of Kundalini Shakti... the coiled Serpentine energy lying dormant in base of spine! One can feel it internally that ones kundalini had finally awakened fully to its full capacity! Full activation of kundalini energy finally resulted in opening of Sahasra Pushpa (thousand petaled Lotus) existing in brain behind forehead!

For an enlightened one... the entire world was one big family! Unable to distinguish between different human beings... an enlightened one truly had no personal family! For an enlightened one... the entire mankind was like children of God Almighty! Finally negating karma to zero... one reached stage of enlightenment! Overpowering karma meant establishing absolute control over five senses and mind! The signs of spiritual awakening were evident in day-to-day life when any karma indulged by an enlightened one did not create bondage of any kind! A true enlightened one was not competent enough to create an ashram (hermitage)! The need for creating a hermitage ceased to exist as all material bondages came to naught!

After gaining enlightenment, Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa indulged in making food for his followers. People casually remarked that as Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa was so attached to making food... how he could have negated karma to zero. Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa replied to the ignorant community that moment his love for making food for his followers ceased to exist... his soul atman having gained absolute purity would leave the mortal frame immediately forever! To retain the body temporarily he indulged in superficial karma that never created a permanent bondage! It was within his powers to leave the mortal frame at will.

In present times people claimed reaching stage of enlightenment and also granting enlightenment to masses at large! How could that be possible? As ordained by God Almighty... not many people world over gained enlightenment at the same time! What if 50 Mahavira... 20 Gautama Buddha descended on the world platform at the same time! How would the humanity know whom to follow or worship. Even Mahavira and Gautama Buddha were contemporaries. Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana were also contemporaries! The need for an enlightened one to meet another enlightened one ceased to exist!

Spiritual awakening symptoms clearly manifested in enlightened ones when they imparted teachings of sacred scriptures to masses at large without any compulsion or financial binding. As ordained by God Almighty... an enlightened one was to serve the community free of all costs... always and ever! So did Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana! Both of them all the time lay on a cot administering wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita to the world community at large! Both never desired building an ashram (hermitage) of their own. It was only after they left the mortal frame... their followers made large ashrams hermitages in their name!

As the karma of an enlightened one was extinguished forever... all bondages of every kind finally came to naught! One was free to go to abode of God permanently... termed Vaikuntha in Hinduism! Such was the power of an enlightened one that he could make peace even with the worst enemy! For an enlightened one there was no reason to feel antagonized against anybody! It is only by forgiving one and all... an enlightened one continued living in the society until leaving the mortal frame! One all the time did bidding of God Almighty... no matter what the compulsion!

Amongst the biggest spiritual awakening symptoms for an enlightened one was overpowering death forever! An enlightened one never feared death of mortal body. Why? Becoming an enlightened meant one finally understood the absolute crux of life... it was our soul atman the spirit within that was on its cosmic journey of 8.4 million manifestations! For an enlightened one... the mortal frame was just a temporary sojourn for our soul atman to work out its karma... remove dross impurities within! This truthful crux of life never becomes clear to followers of religion. It is only by traveling spiritual path human beings finally realized hidden factors of life!

To distinguish truth from false was easy for an enlightened one. Truly... spiritual awakening was a boon in disguise. One finally became free of all attachments of the worldly life forever. The moment one realized self... one realized god... it was time to go home permanently forever! If one continued living in mortal world... it was for the benefit of mankind never self! An enlightened one never preached half baked theories to the gullible human beings... nor could an enlightened one ever cheat anybody! Having become an apostle of truth... one finally became a living manifestation of Bhagavad Gita! Spiritual awakening truly is a blessing of God to mankind!

Full spiritual awakening is the ultimate goal of life for all human beings on mother earth! We may or may not prefer to travel spiritual path in present life... but our ultimate goal of life always remained fixed forever! Why? As our soul atman... the spirit within had manifested human form to work out its karma... the journey of life always belonged to our soul atman... and never the manifest physical form It is the requirement of our soul atman to free itself from cycle of birth and death at the earliest. It is only by traveling spiritual path... path of unknown human beings finally reached stage of enlightenment! Path of religion... path of rituals never led one to God Almighty!

As a human being we are morally bound to assist our soul atman in reaching its cosmic end of life... 8.4 millionth manifestation at the earliest! Those who pursued a different goal of life were ignorants of path of pure spirituality! Being spiritual is living our true inner self! Without indulging in Bhagavad Gita one could never realize god... realize self! We must always remember... we have to work for our own enlightenment... none can grant us enlightenment... no matter what! To become a Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa or Maharishi Ramana in present life was not that easy!

However by undertaking spiritual journey... by understanding precepts of spirituality as detailed in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism any human being world over could easily gain enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) in present life! If Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa or Maharishi Ramana could do it... so can others! Journey of spirituality was difficult... very difficult but not impossible! Cutting across shackles of karma in the present material world seemed extremely difficult but mounted with willpower demonstrated by Swami Vivekananda... any human being world over could easily reach stage of enlightenment forever!
