Free Will and Karma

That is not how the system of karma functions! Every single human being is an independent cosmic power having free will and power of discrimination! At the most we can act as a guide... a teacher... a helper but if the student is not willing to act... nothing can be done in the matter!

Why try soothing those who do not want to avail your services. Maybe they are related... but every relationship has its limits! Mahavira... the 24 Tirthankara of Jainism (preceptor) rightly said... do not preach anything until you become a Mahavira... a Jina... an enlightened one!

Why try and make your sister understand something that she is not willing to understand! Make yourself rise higher to such a platform that your sister starts feeling guilty of self! Do not indulge with your sister much... instead, rise higher on the spiritual platform!

By being good to one and all... we not only benefit the society... the most we benefit ourselves! In doing good to others are hidden seeds of our own benefit! Take care of yourself and rise from jugglery of mortal world... you shall immensely benefit from the same!

Every soul atman is unconcerned with what is happening in the mortal world! Everything depends upon the manifested form... the form of a human being! As we act... accordingly moulds our karma. We reap what we sow... Nothing less or more!

From the beginning to end... every soul atman remains inert! It only acts through the manifested form... never otherwise! Whatever karma is performed by a human being... the fruits of all karma performed always belonged to our soul atman... the spirit within!

Every human being acts as a guided robot in the journey of life! Even though a human life... an earthly sojourn of 70 to 80 years does not carry much meaning in the vast expanse of life of a soul atman... still, human travel is the most pleasant experience for a soul atman!

Every soul atman covers the cosmic distance in a period of 96.4 million earthly years... and a total of 8.4 million manifestations! Out of these 8.4 million manifestations... the initial 7.3 million manifestations occur in insect, plant and animal form... in the remaining 1.1 million manifestations human beings are expected to reach stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana)!

Reaching stage of enlightenment being the ultimate goal of life for every human being... can we change our ultimate destiny? Truthfully speaking... we cannot as the absolute master and controller of human body is our soul atman... the spirit within! Our soul atman has manifested human form to work out its karma... remove dross impurities within!

Always think in larger terms... pursuing the ultimate goal of life... you shall always keep happy!

Your father is experiencing fruits of karma performed in the past! Those with a sunny disposition and godly thinking always reap fruits of positive karma... those indulging in vice suffer most of time! Negative thinking is the worst form of vice that can ever be practiced by human beings!
