Query: Why
are we happy and sad same time?
Vijay Kumar:
For the period the heated rod is immersed in cold water... it is time for
happiness! The moment the rod is beaten and then heated... it is time for sufferings... sadness! In the
circle of life both happiness and sadness are two sides of the same coin. In the absence of one... the value
of other negates... life becomes monotonous and
meaningless!
Imagine if there were only happiness in the world. Remaining happy all
the time would be meaningless as in absence of suffering... we would never realize the meaning of true
happiness! On the contrary if there were only sufferings... the will to sustain life... the morality of
living life would not exist. It is when both happiness and sufferings exist... life carries its
meaning!
Only when one suffers... does the real value of life emerge! The hidden
ingredients of Wisdom surface only in sufferings! When happy... we do not experience the desire to excel
further! It is sufferings and sufferings alone that make one brighter and wiser in the journey of life! Every
successful one has a series of failures behind ones success!
To shape a rod of metal... to shape a human being, God Almighty ordained
a journey of sufferings and happiness in equal measure! All is dependent upon karma enacted by us in the
present or the previous manifestations! The hope of wishes getting fulfilled brings cheer happiness in
life... The fear of losing something results in sadness!
If we have a definite goal in life... a permanent one... there is nothing
to fear in life! Such people suffer less! For them sufferings are simply pointers towards something going
awry in life! What can be done at the most to reduce sufferings by human beings... indulge in good karma
(positive karma) all the time! By doing this we earn Punya karma!
We must always remember the journey of life is not undertaken by the
human being! It is our soul atman within that is on its cosmic journey. It has manifested the form of human
beings to work out its karma... regain its prime pristine original pure form at the earliest! It is only in
the human form soul atman reaches the last leg of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation when human
beings gain enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha).
Every negative karma performed results in sufferings sadness. Positive
karma always results in happiness... stability in life! If we desire happiness most of the time (not
always)... we need to indulge in positive karma... Punya karma all the time! This is the only way to negate
the negative karma enacted by one knowingly or unknowingly!
Every moment of time thousands of thoughts flow through our brain. Based
on these thoughts we enact our karma. If we indulge in negative deeds... the results can never be positive!
Mangoes simply cannot grow on a guava tree! We reap what we sow... Nothing more or less... so says the law of
karma! The doctrine of karma is governing in the whole of cosmos.
Every intelligent human being understands the real crux of life. Those
who dwell in godly thoughts all the time suffer less. Dogged by wanton desires and greed for materialistic
riches... most human beings in life allow their ego to rule the roost. This results in uncalled for strife in
life. Life in the cosmic system is not run by whims and desires!
If we desire becoming the master and controller of our life... hearing
the sweet small inner voice of our soul atman must become a daily practice. The sweet small inner voice of
our soul atman that seems to come from within our heart always guides us on the right path. All successful
human beings not only hear but promptly follow the advice of the soul atman within.
Following the sweet small inner voice of our soul atman in true
earnestness... I finally realized God in 1993! Having come face-to-face with God Almighty... I am in
permanent communion with God every second of my life. I have reached the Mount Everest of spiritual
pursuit... the cosmic goal of life! Nowhere else to go... I shall but attain salvation (moksha) in this very
life!
Happiness and sufferings exist in the mortal world. As a god realized
soul... if I say I am happy... this also means nothing to me! If I say I am sad... it also means nothing!
Having burnt my karma forever... having taken control of the five senses and the mind... I have finally
transcended life... the ephemeral phase of life every human being faces in the mortal world.
May God bless all!
